A Collectible Heritage Textile from Anatolia

Hidden inside a wooden chest in Bartın, on Turkey's Black Sea coast, this extraordinary textile remained untouched for nearly 90 years. Handwoven from 100% linen yarn by an Anatolian grandmother who is no longer with us, it has quietly survived generations.

Originally woven for everyday life in the mountain villages of Western Black Sea, its exceptional durability made it an essential part of local culture. It was used to make school bags for children carrying their books, to dry seasonal foods under the sun, and as traditional cloth sacks for pressing and preserving ingredients.

Today, what was once a humble household textile has become a rare and collectible piece of Anatolian heritage.

With only 30 meters in existence, this is not simply a fabric—it is a Collectible Heritage Textile, carrying nearly a century of history, craftsmanship, and the spirit of slow living.
