What is kutnu?

Kutnu is a silk-and-cotton weave closely associated with Gaziantep in southeastern Türkiye, where it has been produced since around the 16th century. It was valued by the Ottoman court for its sheen and durability, and its characteristic moiré (watermark) finish makes it a distinctive choice for interiors and fashion.

Shirt cuffs and collars, kimonos and loungewear, garment linings, ties and bow ties, bags and clutches, hair accessories, cushions, lampshades and small poufs.

Care

Dry clean only. Water will remove the moiré effect.
