What is kutnu?
Kutnu is a silk-and-cotton weave closely associated with Gaziantep in southeastern Türkiye, where it has been produced since around the 16th century. It was valued by the Ottoman court for its sheen and durability, and its characteristic moiré (watermark) finish makes it a distinctive choice for interiors and fashion.
Uses
Cushions and pillow covers, headboards, ottomans and pouf upholstery, lampshades, jackets and waistcoats, kimonos, ties, bags and clutches, jewelry boxes and frame coverings.
Care
Dry clean only. Water will remove the moiré effect.
Shipping
Ships from Türkiye within 5 business days. Import duties and taxes are paid by the recipient. See our Shipping Policy for details.
